ihcurckton learnThe Edgewood girls basketball team this year had a bondunlike any other on the court and off. They started offtheir season with summer conditioning in June, wherethey proceeded to grow as a team and strive forgreatness. At the end of their summer they headed off toteam camp, in Vincennes, where they played multipleteams a day for three days. They started off their seasonstrong with a win against South Putnam, dominating themwith a score of 60-27. They ended up winning ten games in arow before their first loss to Sullivan. The next big game pittedthe girls against rival Owen Valley with EHS winning 67-25.Moving forward with a positive attitude they ended updefeating Greencastle and Brown County to win the sectionaltitle for the second year in a row. Heading to regionals theywon their first game against Tri-West Hendricks, but lost thechampionship game against Mt. Vernon.Overall, the girls ended their season with arecord of 20-6.
