Description: The Boys of FaitFor many of the students at Edgewood, Friday nightsduring the fall consisted of going to football games to cheeron the boys. The season started a little shaky with a recordof 0-3. Thankfully, the boys pulled it together by the fourthgame of the season. The fire that the team received whileplaying Owen Valley helped them rise to victory, takingback the Black and Bluetrophy.The boys dominatedthe rest of the regular season,not losing another game. Theymade it through the first roundof sectionals, stompingIndianapolis Howe with ascore of 18 to 6. In the secondround of sectionals they foughthard and lost a close game toGreensburg. Before theseason started, the guys set^■■■■■l ■Mr one goal: to always play as ateam. They definitely lived upto that goal. Going 5 and 1 in the conference earned themsecond place in WIC. They finished out the season with arecord of 7 and 4. The football boys of 2011 were led by avery talented group of seniors.The teams quarterback, GrantPedersen, broke the schoolrecord for passing yards in asingle season with 1,884 totalyards passed. SupportingPedersen were his fellowclassmates: Cameron Walls,Taylor Bybee, Marcus Mabry,Chad Hupp, Wes Dalton, BryanDelos Santos, James Ridge,John Selbe, and Derek Covey.Six (Ridge, Delos Santos,Pedersen, Mabry, Bybee, and Hupp) out of the ten seniorsmade All-Conference. Their talent and leadership will bemissed as the boys take on their 2012 season.Senior John Selbe
