At Edgewood, many students want to help outthe teachers of the school corporation. One way theyassist educators is through the cadet program wherestudents visit different schools and complete tasksgiven to them by their chosen teacher. The studentsleave during the school day for two periods to visitthe primary, intermediate, or junior high schools.Some of the tasks assigned to the students includegrading and stapling papers and setting up bulletinboards. Most students select their teacher based ontheir favorite teacher in grade school or junior high.The Cadet program is a valuable experience for theteachers and the students. It gives us an extra set ofBryan Delos Santos grades papers forMrs. Butcher, his cadet teacher.MackenzieBriles helps outher cadetteacher, Mrs.Swedran, bystapling papersfor her class.eyes and hands to get more done,EHJS PE teacher and cadet sponsorGreg Ratliff said. |
