What Is To Be?iiCan one desiregood thing?too much of a— Shakespeare99If the shoe fits. Amanda Wainscotttakes time to sit down, and kick hershoes off to sport her stylish slippers. Its Bob!! You know, Bob. Hes just so,so, so . .. Bob!11 . . . ■ ■We spend so much time worryingabout what people think about us,what we plan on doing over theweekend, or why so-and-sos mad atus that we dont pay attention to theimportant stuff. Our generations stuck with thename Generation X because wehavent done much. Think about it.There are the Baby Boomers whoraised our population or thePeaceniks who protested the involvement in Vietnam. These peopleall did something with their lives. They made some kind of a differencein the world.Looking back we see that the generations before us had many thingsgoing on outside of their own lives. They had wars that they felt stronglyenough to protest at home while thesoldiers fought abroad. They had aspace program just reaching themoon. They fought Communism anddefeated it in many parts of theworld. There were many things thatexcited them and gave them interestin the world around them.It is time that we started to findthose things for ourselves. We havean environment that is rapidly fallingapart. We are falling behind in therace between nations in many ways:educationally, economically, andtechnologically. The time to do something is now,by us. So what is it to be?Student Life Divider 7 |
