Momecoming — J Tirst at EdgewoodThe Homecoming festivities were the highpoint ofthe football season at Edgewood High School. During the half-time ceremonies Mr. Phil Eskew, chairman of the IHSA Committee, crowned Carol SimesHomecoming Queen. Those included in her courtwere: Janet Powell, Freshman; Peggy Shepherd,Sophomore; and Nikki Ragle, Junior.The Marching Edgewood Mustangs provided additional entertainment by performing one of theirmany fine half-time shows. At the conclusion of theband performance the crowd settled back to watchthe remaining action between the Mitchell BlueJackets and the Edgewood Mustangs.Carol expresses her joy at being the first Edgewood Homecoming Queen, The Mighty Mustangs tangle with the Mitchell Blue Jackets.Candidates wait anxiously for the Queen to be announced.%sr |
