With the help of newcoach Jeff Bertsch, the boyswere off and running.Bertsch, once a harrier himself, had many experienceswhich helped him in coaching. As a result, the boys hada good season of 10-7. GregHottell won the Conferenceand All State. The girls too,had a remarkable recordwith the first winning season ever. Coach Andersonwas very pleased with theteam. Cathy Headley shattered the school record witha time of 16:12. Hard workand lots of practice reallyhelped, said Cathy. YouHeading to the finish line, Cathy H.saves her last spurt of speed.really need a good sense ofdirection. The fine performances were all awardefl atthe fall sports receptionwhere Claire Winkler andGreg Hottell were chosen asTeam Captains.
