McCarty.This past spring the marchingband, a combination of some of thesymphonic and varsity band members, took their second trip to Gatlin-burg, Tennessee for the competitionat the Smoky Mountain Music Festival. When not marching the bandsplayed Putt-Putt, took trips up themountain and did a lot of shoppingaccording to Dede Rodgers. The bandstayed at a motel that was right alongthe cruise strip, so you can be assuredthey had a wonderful selection ofstores. Saturday, the band marched ina parade. That day happened to bethe hottest day of the week-end whichmade the uniforms very uncomfortable.
