The first is new coachDebbie Branam. Many of theveteran cheerleaders had toadjust to the new expected re-guirements.The cheerleading season began early in the summer whenthey held their annual car washand also washed cars for CurryBuick to raise funds. Practicesalso began for the upcomingseason. During the school yearseveral events were held to increase student spirit. Variouspep sessions were held duringboth the football and basketballseasons and a Mr. Leggscontest was sponsored duringHomecoming week. Thecheerleaders also held a clinicfor the 4th and 5th graders oneThe varsity cheerleaders show theEHS Homecoming shuffle.Saturday and they were able toperform that evening at thevarsity game. With the fundsraised throughout the year uniforms along with supplies forsigns and decorations wereable to be purchased.This year many new ideaswere installed into the cheerleading program and the spiritwithin our school and community grew. Unity among thecheerleaders was strengthened this year due to thesemany activities and the responsibility of all individuals.J.V. cheerleaders strut their stuff during a basketball pep session.Varsity: Front: Charity Ray.
