Description: Soccer Team Is.v.o. OrtampionLooking out over the standsone saw very few people, butthe Edgewood soccer teamdidnt let the small numbershinder their performance. TheEdgewood booters lost onlyfive games during the regularseason and also won the Wabash Valley Conference. I believe there wasnt much fansupport because there wasntenough publicity, commented senior Michele Wistl. The Wabash Valley Conference was just formed this pastyear for Edgewood and surrounding soccer teams at Vin-cennes, Washington, and Mt.Carmel. To be the Wabash Valley Conference champs, ourteam had to beat more of theconference teams than any other team which made them a record of 10-0-0. The Mustangsdid just that and a whole lotmore. They beat all of the conference teams and became thefirst Wabash Valley Conference CHAMPS. Hard workand patience really paid off forthe whole team when we wonthe Wabash Valley Conference. pointed out seniorMike Dennison.* *jmTaGreg Sayers and his teammates struggle to keep the ball away from theEdgewood goal.Edwin Macatangay holds back anopponent while Mike Dennison goesfor the kick.SoccerSHSOpp.7Plainfield05Jasper07Jasper09Forrest Park02Washington010Harrison20Zionsville20Noblesville45Mt.
