SWIMMERSSET NEWRECORDSWith a record of 2-2 in their dual meets,the newest athletes, under the title LadyMustangs have gotten off to a great start.Coach Anita Steinhagen commented, Icould not be disappointed in the season. Thegirls started out the first season ever in agreat way. Coach Steinhagen also pointedout that with the exception of one meet,each time the girls competed they broketheir personal records in their individualevents. Sr. Stacy Ramsey commentedthat, Coach Steinhagen kept us in goodspirits for the meets even when she knew wedidnt have that good of a chance. She madebeing on the team fun.Leading the team was Jr. standout CristiSeidelson, who was named team captainand most valuable swimmer. Jr. RachelInterland was named most improved whilethe title of most improved diver went to Sr.Jennifer Neal.In the West Central Conference battle,Edgewood came in 6th place.The boys team, also coached bySteinhagen and Carey Stapelton, endedtheir season with a 2-4-1 record. After losingtwo swimmers before the N. Putnam meetdue to illnesses and the coach losing hervoice, they won their first meet to start offon a good note. Steinhagen said that they allpulled together throughout the season.Strong swimmers for the team were CraigSeidelson, D. Rogers, M. Cam bell, andC. Stimson.Sophomore C. Seidelson was namedMVP, S.
