Description: Summer fun began on May 23,1980 when the 3:25 bell not onlysignaled that school was over for theday, but for three whole months ofcarefree bliss and downright laziness.After nine months of hibernation,EHS students were ready to run wild!Several people voiced their opinionon how they woke up to summer.Freshman Lori May enjoyed ridingher bike and marching in the band,while sophomore Kevin Kalecommented that he liked going toconcerts and the drive-in.However, while some of us wereout having fun, others were slavingaway at our jobs. Junior PeterJacobs said, I like to make moneywhile being employed at Valley ViewFarms. To earn his keep he put uphay, fed cows and pigs, and justmessed around.As much as summer activities wereenjoyed, nearly everyone wasanxiously anticipating the ringing ofthe alarm clock, sisterly fights for theshower, and the mad dash to catchthe bus that go along with the arrivalof school days once again.QAMfeing 01 pSenior Paula Trisler commented, I wasshocked! when she found out she hadbecome Miss Monroe County 1980.Hard work by the band made a rewardingsummer.Tony Johnson and Jeff Hays enjoy theexcitement of electronic football.I
