Symphonicand varsity bands practice for concertsto be put on for the community. Theyperform in the winter, doing mostlyChristmas tunes, and in the spring aspreview of the songs they take to ISMAconcert band contest. Any student mayenter the solo and ensemble contest foran individual standing.Unlike concert band, only a select fewcan play in the Jazz Band. They go toISMA Jazz Band Contest, Terre HauteSouths Jazz Festival, and many clinicsgiven around the state whentransportation is provided.Scott Testy replied, Jazz Band offersmusical self-expression not found inConcert Band.
