Coach Bob Manuszak.The 1975 Edgewood baseball teamwent through a disappointing season,but still came out with a winning record,15-9.The Mustangs took 2nd in the WestCentral Conference when they droppeda 8-5 decision to Owen Valley. Bloom-ington North then spoiled sectional hopefor the Mustangs in a 7-5 heartbreaker.Mitch Sexton was awarded the MostValuable Player. He also led the teamwith 8 home runs and 27 runs batted in.Mark Butcher took the top battingaward with a .427 average. The mostimproved award went to Steve Hinds.Four Edgewood graduates are nowrendering their services to colleges.Doug Chestnut, Steve Hinds and RickBennett are all on the Wabash University team, while John Cage is attendingTri-State College in Northern Indiana.1.
