Description: |
We. . ChangeAs the beginning of the 1972-73 school year started, the doors of EdgewoodHigh School were opened to the almost 700 students and teachers. It was the placewhere WE could be one as a group and still be individuals. No matter what the status of each student, WE came together to try tochange, and then react to those changes. Attitudes varied from nonconformist toconservative. Many devoted time both to activities in school and to their personalideals.Students spoke their piece. Banning the bon-fire was one of the big issuesthat students voiced both pros and cons about.A change from the everyday routine of books and tests brought challenges toall, whether it was memorizing lines for The Unexpected Guest or the selling ofmagazines and stationery by the Sophomore and Junior classes.WE .. . in 73 . . . had two large changes in the governing body of the school. These were the additions of the Inter-Club Council and the Student-Teacher Advisory Board. Each worked toward bringing both students and teachers closer intheir relationships with education and also allowed any problem to have a fairhearing by both student and teacher.WE .. . work for change ... in 73. |
