Upadhyayparticipated in the NationalStudent Leader Conference(NSLC) which offers talentedstudents a chance to live ontop tier colleges campusesand take some classes in astudy of their choosing.Upadhyay chose toconcentrate on law andadvocacy at Yale University.Despite being skeptical aboutthe program at first,Upadhyay thought that hertime spent at Yale ended upbeing a really inspiringexperience.One of the most notableparts of the program forUpadhyay was participatingin renowned speaker JoelHilcheys workshop. Hilcheyhelped us become betternational leaders, Upadhyayexplained. He helped uscollaborate and realize howto be leaders in situationswhere you might have (towork with) difficult people.Upadhyay also said shelearned that its okay to bevulnerable.Overall, Upadhyaygained many valuableexperiences and expandedher knowledge on issues thatwill benefit her future in thefield of law.
