Description: Coach Tidd thinks teamhad super-fine girls1Souths girls basketball teamended the 1976-77 season with awinning 9-7 record.The Panthers—led by seniors Regina Fisher, Shannon Rogers, NancyScott, Micki Stuebe, and Ellen Wal-den—lost their first game to Bloom-field, 66-33, in November. In December they again faced the Cardinals,losing 55-53 in overtime.Victories over rival BHS North andMartinsville helped prove that CoachGeorgiabel Tidd had a squad ofsuper-fine girls.We had board strength underneath with Bev Parrott, Nancy Scott,and Micki Stuebe. We were a balanced squad, Coach Tidd commented about the team strengths.Two games, against ColumbusNorth and Bedford-North Lawrence,were played on consecutive nightsduring final exam week. The Pantherslost both.
