Occasionally,Bloomington South students embraced frosty MotherNature and the subsequent snow days and delays. Formuch of the season, however, they shielded themselvesfrom the wintry outdoors, hunkering down for a fewmonths and awaiting the first signs of spring. Studentsfocused on rounding out the second academic trimesterand looked to school and community events such asthe Monroe County Youth Convention and RetroDance to fill the void. As the plants lost their leaves andsurvived yet another batch of freezing weather, theresidents of Bloomington similarly endured. It was thisstrength to withstand the literal and metaphorical winterthat allowed students to prosper and grow.PHOTOS BY ELEANORE FUQUA |
