Theswimmer consistently won the event allthroughout the year.The school record from the 500 meterfree had been held for 34 years at 5minutes 1 0.3 seconds until this swimmerpulled off the extra . 1 seconds to set animpressive new record of 5 minutes 10.2seconds.This swimmer was a strong newaddition to the team this year.
