HoosiersOutrun Cancer brings us alltogether in a great way to help thefight against cancer, sophomoreEvan Bruce said.The event included a 5K run,a 5K walk, and a childrens 1 milewalk. The course took runnersthrough campus, starting andending at the IU Memorial Stadium.The course is really cool. Itsnot too bad, and its not all uphill,Flanigan.For Bruce, the first placewinner of the South students in therace, the highlight of the event wasbefore the race, when everyonewas lining up and getting pumpedto run.Participating in this event leftstudents feeling like they were apart of something larger thanthemselves.It makes me realize howmany people care, Flanigan said.It shows me and the entirecommunity that every little thingmakes a difference and everyonecan come together and have funfor a good cause and make adifference.For students like Flanigan andBruce, Hoosiers Outrun Cancerwas more than just a 5K race.
