McGuire was the presidentof Junior Advisory Board atBloomington South. JuniorAdvisory Board consisted of agroup of juniors that plannedprom.The planning completelystarted when the juniors werefreshmen. During freshman yearthe current Junior Advisory Boardstarted to fundraiser for prom.However, the actual planning ofthe event didnt start until themembers junior year, We thoughtof ideas all year but the advisoryboard came together threemonths before prom, saidMcGuire,A topic that took a lot of themeetings was picking the theme,McGuire said, We had a lot ofmeetings of brainstorming andthen narrowed it down to five andthen two and then one. The themewas eventually picked and thewinning theme was ChateauMagnifique.Time was definitely anecessity for planning prom. After-school meetings were held abouttwo times per week starting a fewmonths before prom, but closer tothe event daily meetings wereneeded.
