Description:	Panthers Prepare .Bloomingtons 1971-72 cindermenjumped to an early start, as the season opened with indoor track.Several new school records wereset as the Panthers ran through asuccessful indoor season. HoosierRelays, hosted by BHSS and held atIndiana Universitys WildermuthIndoor track, saw many outstandingindividuals performances.During indoor competition, MarcHanna, senior, reached fifteen feetin the pole vault. The record standsas the sixth highest of all time andwon Hanna an AU-AmericanIndoor title.Junior, Bob Goodman, tied theschool record in low hurdles,indoor, and set a record in highhurdles. Outdoors, Goodman setschool records for both high andlow hurdles. In the state meetGoodman placed fourth in the highhurdles and seventh in the low.New records were set by RichEngland in the two mile, bothindoors and outdoors. England wenton to place eleventh in the sameevent at state.Finishing the outdoor season,Panther trackmen pulled a secondplace in the South Central Conference, losing by one half of a pointto Jeffersonville.80
