For SeniorJames Kovach, internship sparkedan interest in his future career. As a huge fan of the IU Basketballteam, the IU Varsity Club seemed likea perfect internship site for Kovach.Even though I do all the dirty worklike shredding papers and taking outthe trash, its still a pretty cool placeto work, explained Kovach. However,Kovach went on to tell the benefits ofdealing with the all dirty work, Onetime I drove the athletic directors carto the shop to get it serviced. It wasawesome because it was a really sweetcar, brand new Suburban with the navigation and a back-up camera and satellite radio. For Kovach, leaving schoolafter third period was just another benefit of the interning process. Getting toleave school early definitely sweetenedthe deal, explained Kovach.IU definitely had its connections, and those connections spread to its employees and interns.
