Description:	Girls golf,basketballshow skillThe girls basketball team completed the season with 11 wins andfour losses.In the sectional they defeatedNorth and Owen Valley. In the finals,however, they were defeated by Martinsville, a team they had beaten earlier in the year.Mainstays for Coach Georgia Tiddwere Micki Stuebe, Nancy Scott, andEllen Walden. According to Mrs. Tidd,balance was the key to their success.The girls golf team, coached byMrs. Edith Thrasher, had a record of5-3 during the regular season. In thesectional the team was eliminated;however, senior Kathy Baxter wonmedalist honors with an 88 andadvanced to the state finals, whereshe shot a fair game.TOP: GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM.FIRST ROW: Jenny Cohen, Regina Fisher,Brenda Cartwright, Dawn Day, Shannon Rogers.
