For some, morning is the best time to work; forothers, it is the evening. Whatever the case, many agree a good cup of coffeehelps. Many students have to plan every moment of their day wisely in order to geteverything done. Teachers always give out homework like their class is the onlyone youre taking, sophomore Tom Fell said.Other students seem unaffected by the dilemma. Physics is a lot of work, but we have time for homework in class, sophomore Charles Ray said. Studyingfor tests and quizzes is as much trouble as homework. I dont usually know whatto study, or I study the wrong things, said junior Sarah Kelzer. In many classes tests and quizzes are worth 60% of a students overallgrade. A large amount pushes many to late nights and early mornings.Senior Julia Franks spent her time studying in the morning. I feel morealert in my mind in the morning, Franks said. I always have a big cup of coffee tokeep me going. Fell has his own method for studying. I turn on some good musicand think of weird ways to remember my information, Fell said.Others rely on different methods to understand their materials. I try to payattention in class so I dont need to study outside of school as much, seniorMichal Jander said. Some students like sophomore Alexis May work ahead toprepare for tests. I make notecards, read everything over and come in for extrahelp if I dont understand the material, May said. Studying and organizing theirwork helps students to advance through high school, and into the world.Swdv fotitZ 41 |
