Ts^J-Story by Ryan BearschBloomington South has more successfulclubs to add to its list. Math League, JuniorEngineering Tests (JETS), Science Olympiad,Academic Superbowl and BusinessProfessionals of America have all completedanother great year.Math League, advised by Mr. Greg Mongold,mathematics finished the season sixth in thestate. We had a great year and it is goingto be even better next year, sophomoreRussell Stinson said.Science Olympiad and JETS, both advisedby Mrs. Cindy Kvale, science and Mrs. JanetNichols, special education, also had a positiveyear. Freshman Chris Heinrich, a member ofthe Science Olympiad was happy with theperformance during his first year. This yearwas fun and successful at the same timeand it was an overall great experience. Icant wait [until] next year.Business Professionals of America, advisedby Mrs. Barbara Brown, computerkeyboarding, and Mrs. Karen Day, business,participated in a competition against local,state, and national clubs. AcademicSuperbowl, advised by Mr. Dan Combs, socialstudies, also experienced a great year incompetitions and within the club.[Superbowl] is like a big happy family, saidjunior Amanda Bates, a fifth year participant.Sophomore Kayla Grayreceives assistance fromMrs. Barbara Brown duringa BPA meeting.
