Some students arrive at South duringthe absolute last bell and still others get there beforethe bells have even had their coffee.Many students arrived early because they ride thebus. Freshman Britton Shoellhorn liked arriving earlybecause, you can get homework done early or talk toteachers before a lot of people crowd up the hallways.Other students choose to arrive early to hang outwith their friends. Sophomore Kyle Webb and hisfriends arrived early every morning to play hacky sackin the atrium. Its kind of like a morning practice forus. Its fun to just kick a ball around - but its hard worktoo, Webb said.But there were a few students who take practice soseriously they were here even before the janitors -they are the few, the proud, the swimmers. I feel like Ican get a workout done before I even start my day,plus theres breakfast which is truly amazing, juniorSarah Parker said.Not all students were as willing as Parker to wake upearly, however. Senior Alex Redmon said, When I wasa freshman, I woke up on time occasionally, but afterfour years, its rough to get up at all, let alone early. 0Catching some zzzs, seniorRyan Hummel relaxes in therocational parking lot beforeclasses start.
