The Queen was pointing to Alice and ordering her to be sent away.When Theatre South put onthe production of Alice inWonderland, the number ofpeople who attended theschool play increasedsignificantly from the yearbefore, according to seniorBrenton McQueary. McQuearybelieved the reason audiencesenjoyed the play is that it,makes them feel as if theyjust woke from a dream andyou have to pinch yourself tomake the moment a reality.Opening night gave the casta chance to see if all theirwork paid off and if theaudience enjoyed it. It wasreally awesome. The audiencewas receptive. This gave afeeling of satisfaction towardall the hard work we did,sophomore Emily Radke said.The only difficulty incompleting the play wasmaking sure the set wascomplete. We were trying tomake the set grow and shrinkto match the actions going onin the play. We did not know ifour visions would work out,but they did. The set turnedout really cool, junior MollyYoung said.One of the most importanttasks for the cast was gettingeverything done on time andcooperating with each other.Teamwork and everyoneswillingness to work allowed usto finish the play on time andcomplete it to oursatisfaction, sophomoreDerek Bradley said.Alice in Wonderland wasan overall success for everyoneinvolved. The audience enjoyedthe play and the cast washappy with the success.McQueary said, The mostimportant element is gettingalong and having the groupdynamically established.
