Dancing for a -fBetter TomorrowWith the help of student support, theAIDS benefit dance proves to be agreat SUCCeSS by Martha PayneOver 400 people gathered into the largegroup room for the AIDS benefit dance toconclude AIDS Awareness Week. Themixture of bands (The Usual Suspects andKoala) and DJ Sam Souhrada was aunique element of this first time dance.Everyone who attended was given asmall red ribbon symbolizingremembrance and awareness of AIDS, adisease that has swept the world over.PROUD, the organization that sponsoredthe AIDS benefit dance, raised over$1600. One thousand dollars of theproceeds went to the BloomingtonHospital Foundation for AIDS Education.At the AIDS benefit dance, seniorBrendan Sweeny, sophomore MikaThatcher, junior John Keenan and seniorNathan Wrigley jump to the music. Thedance, sponsored by PROUD, raised$1600.Members of The Usual Suspects, seniorsZaven Papakhian and Ben Walker singat the dance.
