It made merealize that I want tostudy elementaryeducation in college, senior LisaWilliams said.During the week, seniors acted ascounselors to the fifth-grade studentswho were visiting Bradford Woods. They taught the students, servedfood, and played games. The seniorswere also role models for the kids.According to senior Laura Buekner,The students really looked up to us.We had to be careful what we didbecause they were always watching. The adoration of the fifth gradersoften turned into a crush.Williams remembers,One of the boys had acrush on me and hisgirlfriend was in mycabin. He broke up withhis girlfriend. She gotmad and wouldnt talk tome. I had to sit down andexplain that I was nottrying to steal herboyfriend.
