He sees the vastness as an opportunity to use his powers for good, by Jordan GarnerKATIE SHEEHANJG: How did you get started in the DJ business?SS: I started with lohn Jesseph, and we did a couplebirthday parties. I initially bought $900 worth ofequipment and got some jobs that paid $100. Ivedone a couple school dances as well. The moneycame after the initial investment and the business hasreally grown. Right now we are looking for a trailerto haul all the equipment.JG: What is your favorite song and why?SS: I dont have a favorite song. I like the way peoplerespond to music, how people react to the music andhow it changes them. My favorite song changes everytime I listen to something new.JG: What is your favorite moment during a Soundsof South performance?SS: When everyone forgets that they are performingand are really just having fun.JG: What will you be doing 20 years from now?SS: I hope Ill be putting on large scale events, wherethe funds go to charity. I want the business to makeso much money that I will be able to donate a lot ofmoney to charitable causes and have enough leftover to make a living. Hopefully Ill put on bigconcerts and have clubs all over.JG: In what way have your peers at school haveinfluenced you?SS: I think we can take what we want to. One thing Ithink some of my friends have shown me is that it isgood to be a hard worker. A couple of my friendsown their own businesses.
