Description:	ITwo girlsadvance totrack stateEnding a perfect season, the girlstrack team placed third in the sectional meet. Three girls qualified for theregional meet: Caitilin Kelly in themile run, Casey Carlson in the hurdles,and Caryn Benckart in the 880.Kelly and Carlson went on to thestate meet. At state, although she wasbothered by a lung infection, Kellyplaced 10th in her race; she went intothe race with the best state time forthe mile. Carlson did not place in herevent.Coached by Georgiabel Tidd, othergirls on the team also produced goodresults. Among these girls, BeckyThompson, Bareket Falk, and CeliaPeterson were especially successful.Senior Pam Teare was the onlygraduating team member.
