With a new sponsor, Mrs. Pat Bailey, English, SADD broughtnew activites for students, including a fundraising prom fashion show.The prom fashion show was really fun. We got to model clothesand give students a chance to prepare and buy things ahead of time,sophomore Robin Reed said.SADD also played a very prominent role in prom itself. SeniorLauren Degroote, SADDs president, said, Its important that we arethere to remind students of all the dangers of bad decisions. We justtry to put the information out there. The students have to make thedecisions. We just feel by telling students of dangers we may preventsome really terrible things from happening.SADD passed out flyers during prom, tied red ribbons to cars andput a wrecked car in front of the school to remind students of whathappens when you drink and drive.Whether SADD was passing out flyers, or simply just providing aplace where students could discuss problems, they helped keep studentsfrom making decisions that could change their lives forever.-Story by Rachel AxsomSADD and MADD teamedup to place a wrecked car infront of the school during theweek of prom.
