Students who had conflicts could meetwith students who were acting as mediators. In some cases, studentswere also asked by a teacher or administrator to try mediation as analternative to being punished for the conflict.Hopefully we have helped people work out conflicts and made adifference, junior Anna Brinegar said. Brinegar has been a peermediator for the past two years.Peer Mediation also helped out with Panther Preview 2000, an eventto help freshmen get used to the building before school began.
