It may sound crazy, but thisis just a typical Thursday.Describing PROUDs purpose, co-sponsor Mrs. Carla Gardner,English, said, We provide a safe haven and an alliance and supportfor students who are unafraid of diversity and who welcome thedifference diversity makes in our lives...[before PROUD] there wasnothing here for gay students.As part of their service mission, the members held bake sales, adance featuring Danagas and raffled off the chance to cut off Mr.Jeffries ponytail to raise money for AIDS patients and research.
