The Optimist,the school newspaper, dealt with all of those issues over the course ofone year. The Optimistcovered controversial topics in addition to schoolevents, national events and school athletics.I think our staff was wonderful this year and our content level hasgone way up, senior Bethany Quails, Co-Editor in Chief, said.The staff put a lot of time and effort into each issue, as they put outone issue every two weeks. One of the papers awards included fifthplace for Best of Show in the newspaper division at the NationalScholastic Press Association Convention in Kansas City, MO.
