We lost our first few games, but then playedreally well the rest of the year and won quite a few games, sophomore MattSherfield said.The team was considerably young with 10 out of 13 players beingsophomores. The younger players sought leadership from the few juniorsthat were on the team.The juniors on the team, DJ McDaniel and Cody Terkhorn, were verygood leaders. Id say we improved a lot as a teamover the season. One of our best accomplishments is that we won everyaway game we played, freshman Miles Johnson said.The team had a tough time winning home games but pulled off a big winin the last game of the season against Martinsville.We really wanted to beat Martinsville after losing 1-0 to them the firsttime. The second time that we played them we pulled out a 9-6 win. It wasprobably our best game of the season, freshman Steve Lettelier said.Marianne LloydGothic :: 5j^&
