The Barbeque took place at SherwoodOaks Park for the second straight year on the last day of school for seniors, marking thebeginning of a new tradition.As the second semester continued,we wished for snow days butended up receiving none. WithSpring Break growing near, students planned to have some fun inFlorida, the Bahamas and evenBloomington. In the worldaround us, we said goodbye tofamous comedians Chris Farleyand Phil Hartman and singerFrank Sinatra. We also wished Dr. Mike Riggle, principal, goodbye and goodluck as he accepted a new position in Illinois, and we wondered what principalwould lead us next. We applauded the Science Olympiad team as theyplaced 19th at Nationals, as well as bothSolar Bike teams and Poms for competingat National levels. Prom was heldin the new commons area, and graduationwas held in Assembly Hall due to the renovation of the IUAuditorium. In themeantime, renovation continued. Thetennis team played on new courtswhile the track team ran on newsurfaces.
