The football team won the game that night againstBroad Ripple. 64-6.The new atrium, or com-§ff mons area, provided a place for usto congregate and eat lunch. Weenjoyed the sunshine pouringthrough the atriums many windows because El Nino rolled inand gave us a mild winter most ofthe time. However, occasional coldtemperatures caused us to wearWe still managed to excel at theour coats and scarves to our classes,things we tried; boys tennis won sectional, several cross country runners andswimmers made it to State, and the SpellBowl team won a State championship.Outside our school walls, we often wondered what would happen next after suchevents as the deaths of Princess Dianaand Mother Teresa.But back home,we still wonderedWhat next? whensomeone sneaked into a parking space in front of us, sowe got creative and made our own. We wondered Whatnext? when it took six minutes tomove six feet in the hallway, so welooked for alternative routes or justshoved our way through.We never knew what would greetus next, but we always managed tofind a way.Avery ThatcherDuring block two chemistry junior AmandaHorvath and senior Wendy Robertsoncalculate their experiment. Studentsfollowed one of four different schedules.Avery ThatcherAmong the crowd at the State football game, juniors Anshu Kalhan and Matt Osgoodshow their school spirit by wearing purple capes and shaking BB-filled milk jugs.
