Those three groups include counslers,secretaries and librarians.The guidance office spends most of its time helpingstudents choose the classes that will allow them to have thebest preperation for their future employment or education. Thecounselors not only help the students select the classes, butalso help students succeed in those courses. Five guidancecounselors worked at BHSS during the last year. Each one hadan alphabetically determined set of students from each gradelevel. According to Patti Krise, one of the jobs rewards is thesatisfaction of seeing a person succeed.The schools secretaries help accomplish the dailyadministrative tasks. This job requires a multitude of skills andcareful attention. Everything from attendance to announcementsmust be completed with great precision. You have to enjoyworking with students to be able to complete those taskscommented Judy Clark, a secretary in the attendance office.Souths librarians oversee the daily activities of thelibrary and help students in finding information. With the varietyof media that are offered at the library, the librarians work isalways growing. The library offers many new electronicdatabases and stock a substantial collection of hard copies. Anew Multi-Media CD-ROM Encyclopedia was offered thisyear to allow an even more diverse research environment.
