Icouldnt have done itwithout some of theexcellent hitters andpassers I had,Bronnenberg said. Asa team, they will godown in school historyas the second mostwinning team in thehistory of South with24 wins and 10losses.This yearsteam won theirsectional by defeatingBrown County in thefirst round anddefeating Bloomington North in the finalgame. Despite thewin, Benson didntthink South played asgood as they couldhave. [The finalscore] was too close,Benson commented.In regionalcompetition, Southfaced Terre HauteSouth in the first gameand lost. Junior JackiShelton said, Wedidnt really cometogether as a team.
