While with theyouth show chorus, she has been traveling to places topreform such as Carnegie Hall. Matney also took partin solo and ensamble where she received awards forher performances. Matneys love for music goes evenfurther. In her spare time, she enjoys writting her ownmusic.Matney extends her performances to thetheatre as well. She played the role of the storytellerin Souths performance of Peter Pan.She was one of the 25 students who attendSt. Charles the first year they had an eigth grade class.With approximately 13 students in each of her classes,personal attention helped her keep a 4.0 gpa.
