LSOFTunWhen am Igoingto get out of thisplace sighsRobertCommingore.Each year seniors are given the chance to spend aweek at Bradford Woods as counselors. The week includesteaching fifth graders new games, songs, how to fish, going onhikes through the rustic surroundings and attending campfireat the end of each night. At the campfire, they perform skitsand engage in activities designed to promote social skills. TheLOTS seniors help the students through some of their firsttimes away from home while bonding with them and learningleadership skills. Stacy Forester, a LOTS senior, said BradfordWoods was a really great experience and was a greatopportunity to be a role model for the younger kids.Three days over the summer, the LOTS seniorscongregate at the Bradford Woods camp and learn how tohandle the students during emergency situations. It gives thecounselors time to get to know each other.According to Roger Perry, a South guidancecounselor, LOTS has always been one of the most popularprograms we have.
