This posed a problem for the presidentof the board, Geeta Kkharkar, but through perserverance and determinationshe, along with the vice-president Bobbie Burke, found Mr. Farmer as asponsor and got down to work. The freshman advisory board had manymambers by the end of the year and even managed to raise some moneythrough fund raisers.Much like the freshman advisory board, the sophomores lacked asponsor, too. They, however, were lucky to find Mrs. McGlasson to helpthem out after only a few months of searching. After the SophomoreAdviory Board founda sponsor they began the task of fund raising for yetanother year. Led by president Kelli Wilson, vice-president Jackie Brown, and trreasurer Tom Nowlin, the sophomores had garage sales and raffleswhich brought in enough money to meet their goal and they are now well onthe way to paying for their junior/senior prom next year.Wilson was very pleased with this years board and had this to say,A lot pf people got involved with the sophomore advisory board this year, and thats what made things work.Story by Sarah SmithMcGill,Hayden Smith, and HeatherOster listenintently to thedicussion athandPhoto By: Venus McCoyACTIVITES/73
