Description: The 1994 GOTHICAdvisor AcknowledgementTo say that this has been an unusualyear for the GOTHIC staff is a colossal% understatement. Something that no) other staff in the history of this highschool has been accomplished. Thecompany that publishes (prints) theyearbook was changed in the middleof the school year. For the uninitiated,m this is equal to changing airplanes inmid-flight, without landing, or stopping a high dive into the swimmingpool after leaping off the diving board. It is something that is done only underthe most unusual circumstances. Thanks to the superb leadership ofsenior editor-in-chief Ann Johns, andco-editor-in-chief Angie Bast and ChrisCurry, this switch was accomplished ina smooth manner. Credit must also begiven to the entire staff who adaptedthemselves, with great skill to new procedures and added deadline pressureswithout complaints. The senior editors were in on thedecision making process all the way. They participated in meetings with theold publisher representative and werepresent when the relationship was terminated, a tense affair. They also metwith the new company representativeand worked hard to facilitate the transfer from one company to the other. AsGOTHIC advisor, I thank them for theirloyalty and committment, especially fortheir skill and performance above andbeyond the call of duty, persuing thegoal of publishing an outstanding yearbook.ColophonThe 1994 GOTHIC is a fall deliverybook printed by the Herff Jones Company, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, with apress run of 1,000 copies.Individual album photographs weretaken by Cameo Color of Columbus,Indiana. The cover photograph/illustrationwas taken by Jason Hirsch and manipulated by a computer using the Eastman Kodak Premier system.
