■-rMastering everythingOver the past two years at Southsophomore Susan Marvin has puther energy and time into cheerleading, running track, and participating on the gymnastics team. Susan was on Freshman J.V., and willbe on the Varsity cheerleadingsquad her junior year. She has received two varsity letters in gymnastics and one on track. The littlespare time that she has, is put intomaintaining her impressive 3.77GPA.During her freshman year Marvin overcame a serious injury. Shetore her hamstring in cheerleadingand was on crutches for a coupleof weeks. Then she was on crutchesfor a second time as a result of anaccident on the beam in gymnastics. Susan tore ligaments in her ankle and was out of gymnastics fora short time.Marvin received the B-manaward her freshman year in gymnastics, and competed on the sectional team two years in a row. Shealso competed in the all-aroundwhich includes mastering the vault,bars, beam, and floor.Two years away from graduationSusan Marvin says she plans on attending Indiana University. I.U.doesnt have a gymnastic team, butI think it would be fun to cheer incollege. stated Susan.Until then, Marvin will continuewith cheerleading, track, and gymnastics.
