They also provided information and entertainment, and reported newsworthyitems.The Optimist wrote several storiesof great interest to many of the Southstudents. Editor Jessie Mallor said,The movie reviews and stories onrelaxation and body piercing seemedto interest most people in ourschool.However the Optimist isnt theonly student run publishing house inSouth. The Bloomington SouthGothic provides the annual yearbookfor the school. Gothic is a class thatisnt run by a teacher, its run entirelyby students with the help of our advisor Mr. Staver, said Gothic writerDana Bobilya. Peter Hossler describes the student run class as, arefreshing change in pace from thenormal school curricula. The Gothic staff is constantly pushing themselves to meet their deadlines. SeniorEditor-in-Chief Ann Johns stressesefficiency in the class, We are reallypushing deadlines this year. The workmust be done on time.Peter Hossler is astounded by the fine quality of his picture.Morey Barnes and Natalya Wells laugh whileplaying a game of tic-tac-toe in class.66/ACTIVITIESmmm
