Description: EscapingSpring Break wasnt veryspringlike last year for muchof the United States. A hugesnow storm crashed down onmuch of the Eastern and Central United States just in timeto delay flights, slow journeys, obstruct highways andbasically wreak havoc withmost peoples travel plans. However, South students inthe search for a great vacationwere not daunted by MotherNature for long. Many lucky souls hadplanned to stay in Bloomington over break, and managedto avoid the entire weathersystem, even getting a fewdays of nice weather. Sophomore Matt Watson comm-mented, I was just glad tonot be in school.I worked a lot and when Iwasnt working I just relaxed, said senior AndyOLeary. Those who did venturedown south didnt find theroad easy. It took us fivehours to go 88 miles becauseof the snow. It was great toget out of Bloomington. But,we spent half the time gettingto Florida and the other halfon a beach that was cloudy, said junior Rob McClellan.74
