LGoal accomplishedThe junior varsity boysbasketball team ended theirseason with a 7-13 record.The main objective of theteam players, to find theirown identities, was eventually accomplished.You must develop potential to satisfy goals, saidcoach Mike Bennett. Although the team had a nine-game losing streak, they didnot let this get them down.Instead, the team came backand won the last four out offive games. When weplayed as a team, we playedquite well, said Bennett.The year had its ups anddowns. There was a lot oftalent on our team, saidsophomore Bryan Coyne.The freshman team endedtheir season with a 6-8 record. The main goal of theteam was to improve as theyear progressed. Over all, itwas an up and down season.We would play up to our potential one game and not thenext, said coach Scott May.I enjoyed playing basketball in my first year at South. Ialso enjoyed getting to knowthe other guys on the team.Over all, I think we had funduring the season, saidfreshman Eric Ripley.I think the freshman teamwas competitive, saidcoach J.R.
