It was arewardingexperience.LauraJones,captainRenae McCammonand Tracy Howardcheer the Panthers onto another victory.1STPLACEAccomplishmentsand achievementsfilled the 1990-91school year for theSouth pompettes, according to sponsorPaula Kleinow.In the summer, thepompettes participated in the Bloomingtonand the EllettsvilleFourth of July parades. During the restof the summer, theyattended two dancecamps and won manyblue ribbons. Whenthe school year began,they held their biggestfundraiser. JuniorPom Camp, whichbrought in almost$1000. Junior PomCamp allowed elementary students to learnand perform danceroutines.In the spring, theywon first place in theRegency Talent Contest and could havegone to nationals inSt. Louis. The squadworked really hard andput in a lot of hours,said Paula Kleinow.Pompettes, Front row:Tammy Isom, and Sara Morgan.
