Description: !.«■Laura Jones is the tallest of Santas helpers, standing taller than 6feet.Spirit boostersAt a time of year whenmost South studentswere loafing in the sun andenjoying their free time,twenty dedicated pompettes were hard at work.The 1988-89 sauad put inmany long hours over thesummer, perfecting over20 new dances and winning many competitions.We went to camp a new,inexperienced sauad, andlearned a lot of new tech-niaues. Six members of the sauad attended a universal dancecamp early in the summer,and went on to competein the national competitionin Florida. Said Nay, Whilethe individual awards areexciting, the girls also worktogether as a team.32
